Memoir
For the past few years, I have been diligently working on a memoir about heartbreak and resilience after my mother’s sudden and tragic death (in 2014) and my own near-death experience (in 2017) .
In 2021, I participated in the Year-Long Creative Nonfiction and Memoir Writing Project with the Loft. I completed my first draft and am diligently working on editing the manuscript.

Can You Love After You Die?
Lydia, my six-year-old, hurls inquiries at me like a never-ending game of Trivial Pursuit: The Existential Essay Edition.
Who decides what to name the lakes? Is it the same year in all countries? If Jesus was already born a long time ago, why do we wait for him to be born every year? Do turtles have teeth?
Even answering seemingly simple questions, I open my mouth to speak and realize that my knowledge about the matter stopped 20 years ago. Basic animal anatomy feels like I something should know.
